Jonah - The Reluctant Prophet

On Sunday, February 4, we’re beginning an intriguing eight week series on the life of Jonah. Jonah was a walking contradiction; an anti-hero! He was devoted to God, yet ran from Him. He submitted to God, but then sulked when God didn’t meet his expectations. Through the narrative of Jonah’s life we’ll discover how the grace of God is stronger than all our anxieties, disappointments, angers, and misguided affections.

Jonah Devotional

To aid you in getting the most out of this engaging series, we’re offering an accompanying devotional book to use in your times with the Lord, small group discussions and family conversations. The complimentary books will be available starting next Sunday, and we encourage everyone to pick one up and dive into learning together. Questions? Contact Pastor Chad Oltman at chad@theurbanrefuge.com or 612-978-2570.

IF: Gathering 2018

Friday, February 9, 6:00-9:00 PM & Saturday, February 10, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Emanuelson-Podas Office (7705 Bush Lake Road, Edina). What IF we followed God with perseverance instead of insecurity? At IF:Gathering 2018, we will look at one of Paul’s letters to Timothy where Paul reminds him of the power and responsibility of sharing the gospel. We want to give God away in the very places He’s put us, so we’re going to gather for the purpose of remembering why following God and making disciples matters. We all get tired, we all wonder if what we’re doing matters, so this will be a reminder--it will be a celebration. The work we’re doing to share the gospel on the earth is worth it and God DOES move through the little things that nobody sees. Join us!

Register online (fee required of at least $1).
