Pursuing harmony. Seeking unity.

No matter your story, we invite you into His Story of reconciliation between all people and God, and all people with one another, through Jesus’ redemptive work on the cross.

A vision for harmony.

We seek unity as a multi-ethnic kingdom-minded church through building awareness, creating space for understanding, and pursuing justice and reconciliation.

The Harmony Team’s mission is to cultivate cultural humility and provide education, resources, and experiences. Recent events have laid bare many long-existing racial injustices and disparities in our nation, our state, and our city.

Join us!

We are grateful to those at Urban Refuge who have volunteered, donated, and made commitments to engage with the hard truths of racism and with the injustices left in its wake, but we know our work is not done.

We know God’s desire for flourishing wholeness is not yet fully realized for many of those who are made in His image – particularly people of color.

Whether you have been engaging with the issues of racial reconciliation and justice for years, or maybe your whole life, or whether you are new to this space, the Harmony Team wants to invite you deeper into Christ-centered dialogue.

The Harmony Book Club is designed to be quarterly, so we will be reading four books together throughout the year, and meeting once every three months to discuss one book that we have read together.

We know that harmony is difficult, but we also know that we are commanded by God to live in harmony with one another (Romans 12:16). Some of the content and the conversations might be uncomfortable, but the goal of the Harmony Book Club is not to agree but to gain a deeper understanding. Tasha Ness and Alli Martin will be co-facilitating these quarterly discussions throughout the year.
